This is a common scenario β and while we're working on a more streamlined solution, here's the best way to handle it today.
The Short Answer
A job's status won't automatically advance until all heads have hanging weights entered and you click Mark as Killed for the full job. In the meantime, you can manually add hanging weights to individual heads as each animal is harvested, without affecting the rest of the job.
How to Enter Hanging Weights One Head at a Time
Open the job from your Dashboard, Calendar, or Jobs in the left sidebar, then click the Heads tab.
From the Heads tab, click Edit in the upper right corner.
This puts the entire heads list into edit mode and reveals a Hanging Weight input field for each animal. Enter the hanging weight for the animals that have been harvested so far and leave the remaining fields blank. Click Save when done.
You can repeat this process each day as additional animals are harvested until all heads have been accounted for.
When All Animals Are Harvested
Once the remaining animals are ready, click Mark as Killed from the job page. Farmshare will prompt you to enter hanging weights for any heads that still need them. After saving, the job status will advance and you can proceed with carcass tags and cutsheets as normal.
Note: We're actively working on an update to make multi-day harvest tracking easier. In the meantime, the manual edit approach above is the recommended workflow. Reach out if you have questions β we're happy to help!
