Carcass Tag Title β Tracking Number or Ear Tag?
You can control which identifier appears on your printed carcass tags β either the Farmshare-generated Tracking Number (e.g., B-U-11) or the Producer Identifier (the ear tag number that arrives on the animal from the farm).
To change this setting, go to Settings > Processor Settings > General, then click the Document Settings tab. Under "What title do you want to use on your carcass tags?", select either Prefer Tracking Number or Prefer Ear Tag depending on your preference.
Click the green Save button when done.
Not sure which to choose? If your team primarily tracks animals by your own internal numbering system, stick with Tracking Number. If your producers use consistent ear tag numbers that your team references on the floor, Prefer Ear Tag may be more useful. See the Tracking Numbers and Producer Identifiers article for a full explanation of the difference.
