Fixing an Incorrect Cutsheet, or Editing a cutsheet in Farmshare

Edit, Change, Reassign, Duplicate, Preview, Download, or Delete a Cutsheet in FarmShare

Objective

This SOP explains how to manage an existing cutsheet in FarmShare, including editing a cutsheet already attached to a split, changing to a different cutsheet, and maintaining cutsheet records in the library. Follow these steps to update customer-specific cutsheets accurately and keep records organized.

Key Steps

1. Open the existing cutsheet you want to update 0:00

  • Navigate to the relevant split or customer record in FarmShare.

  • Locate the existing cutsheet attached to the split.

  • Confirm you are viewing the correct cutsheet before making changes.

2. Edit the cutsheet already attached to the split 0:18

  • Select Edit if you only need to modify the cutsheet currently attached.

  • Update the fields you want to change.

  • Save your changes to keep the cutsheet linked to the same record.

3. Save and refill the edited cutsheet 0:24

  • You can reselect the cuts you want, and add notes in each primal section, including the Trim.

  • After editing, click Save.

  • Refill or update the cutsheet details as needed.

    • Example: enter a new preferred name or selection, then save it to the buyer cutsheet record.

On mobile, this is what it looks like:

Open the cutsheet

Click Advanced View on the first screen

Then make your edits, and add notes:

4. Use Change to start over with a different cutsheet 0:34

  • Select Change if you want to replace the current cutsheet entirely.

  • Use this option when you want to start over or choose a different preselected cutsheet.

  • This is different from Edit, which only modifies the existing attached cutsheet.

5. Choose the source for the new cutsheet 0:43

  • When using Change, select the appropriate source:

    • Processor cutsheets

    • Buyer’s own cutsheets

    • Producer cutsheets

    • Your own saved cutsheets (Processor)

  • Choose the option that matches the cutsheet you want to apply.

6. Create or upload a new cutsheet if needed 1:01

  • If no existing cutsheet fits, you can:

    • Upload a filled cutsheet

    • Fill out a new cutsheet

    • Look up legacy cutsheets from FarmShare version 1

  • Use the method that best matches the available information.

7. Find the cutsheet in the cutsheet library 1:20

  • Go to the Cutsheet Library.

  • Open Custom Cutsheets.

  • Search by customer name or cutsheet name to locate the record you want to manage.

8. Delete an unwanted cutsheet record 1:20

  • If a cutsheet should no longer be saved, click the red trash can icon.

  • Confirm deletion only if you are sure the record is no longer needed.

  • Use this to remove outdated or unnecessary cutsheets from the library.

9. Reassign a cutsheet to a different customer 1:34

  • Click the arrows icon to reassign the cutsheet to a new customer.

  • Search for and select the correct customer name.

  • Save the reassignment so the cutsheet is linked to the correct record.

10. Duplicate a cutsheet for another customer 1:44

  • Click the duplicate icon if you want to copy the cutsheet to another customer.

  • Use this when you need the same cutsheet on multiple customer records.

  • Duplicating keeps the original cutsheet in place while creating a copy elsewhere.

11. Preview or download the cutsheet 1:54

  • Click the preview icon to review the cutsheet before taking action.

  • Click the download icon to export a filled-out version of the cutsheet.

  • The downloaded version will not include producer or cutsheet header information.

12. Delete the cutsheet permanently if needed 2:05

  • Use the red trash can icon to permanently delete the cutsheet.

  • Only delete when you do not want the cutsheet saved anywhere.

  • Verify the record is no longer needed before removing it.

13. View the Cutsheet form as a Customer would

  • Go the form you want to view in Cutsheet Builder

  • Click the eyeball Preview button to walkthrough the cutsheet as a customer would

Cautionary Notes

  • Edit changes the cutsheet already attached to the split; Change replaces it with a different cutsheet.

  • Deleting a cutsheet is permanent, so confirm before clicking the trash can.

  • Reassigning moves the cutsheet to a new customer record, while duplicating creates an additional copy.

  • Downloaded cutsheets do not include producer or cutsheet header information.

  • Make sure you are working in the correct customer or split record before saving changes.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use Edit for quick corrections instead of starting over.

  • Use Change when the entire cutsheet needs to be replaced.

  • Search the cutsheet library by customer name to find records faster.

  • Preview before downloading or deleting to avoid mistakes.

  • Duplicate a cutsheet when multiple customers need the same setup, rather than recreating it manually.
