How to Edit the Cutsheet Header Layout in Processor Settings

Objective

This SOP explains how to update the cutsheet header layout in Processor Settings so the correct identifiers and columns display on the cutsheet. It also covers how to preview changes and adjust the order and placement of fields.

Key Steps

1. Open the Cutsheet Header Layout Settings 0:00

  • Navigate to Settings.

  • Open Processor Settings.

  • Select Documents.

  • Locate the option to edit the cutsheet header layout.

  • This is where you can customize what appears on the cutsheet header.

    • Ear tag

    • Tracking number

    • Buyer name

    • Buyer phone

    • Buyer email (optional)

  • Choose the fields that best match your workflow and reporting needs.

3. Configure the Columns Shown on the Cutsheet 0:24

  • Edit the columns that appear in the cutsheet header.

  • Review the three available columns and decide which data should be visible.

  • Common useful fields include:

    • Producer name

    • Producer ID

    • Tracking number

    • Over 30 months

    • Sex

    • Buyer

    • Phone

    • Producer

    • Drop-off

    • Harvest

    • Hanging weight

  • Make any additional adjustments if the preview does not match your needs.

6. Reorder Fields and Adjust Column Placement 1:09

  • Use the up button to move a field higher in the header.

  • Use the down button to move a field lower in the header.

  • Move fields across columns if you want to change where they appear.

  • Continue adjusting until the cutsheet header is organized in the preferred order.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not save changes until you have reviewed the layout carefully. Incorrect header settings can cause important information to display improperly on the cutsheet.

  • Be mindful that some fields, such as the job number, may be less useful depending on your workflow.

  • Ensure the selected fields align with your team’s reporting and identification needs before finalizing.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use the preview feature after every major change to avoid rework.

  • Keep the header limited to the most useful fields so the cutsheet stays easy to read.

  • Standardize the layout across your team so everyone sees the same key information.

  • If you frequently need the same setup, document the preferred field order for quick future updates.
