Printing the Calendar

This SOP outlines the steps to print a calendar for team members who prefer a physical copy over digital access.

Step 1: Determine Printing Needs 0:00

  • Identify the specific calendar needs (e.g., drop-offs only or including kill/cut days).

  • Recommend printing a week at a time for better accuracy.

Step 2: Access the Print Function 0:51

  • For Mac users, press Command-P.

  • For Windows users, press Control-P.

  • Alternatively, locate the print option in the browser menu or under File > Print.

Step 3: Adjust Print Settings 1:32

  • Change the settings to custom.

  • Set the layout to landscape for better visibility of the full month.

Step 4: Fit to Page 1:41

  • Ensure the calendar fits on one page without overlapping.

  • Adjust the scale if necessary to prevent cutting off names or details.

Step 5: Review Color Options 2:00

  • Be aware that if printed in black and white, all colors will appear as black.

  • Color coding includes:

    • Harvest for kill days

    • Cut for cut days

    • Drop off for drop days.

Step 6: Finalize and Print 2:29

  • Once all settings are adjusted, click Print to produce the calendar.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that the calendar is not zoomed in too much to avoid cutting off names.

  • Check printer settings to confirm color options if color coding is important.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Regularly update the calendar to reflect any changes before printing.

  • Print in batches if multiple copies are needed to save time.
