How to Set Up Auto-Scheduled Harvest and Cut Dates

Save time by letting Farmshare automatically calculate harvest and cut dates based on your drop-off schedule.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Instead of manually entering harvest and cut dates for every job, you can set up Auto Scheduling to calculate those dates automatically based on the number of days you specify. Once configured, Farmshare will set the harvest date a set number of days after drop-off, and the cut date a set number of days after harvest β€” every time, automatically.

Getting There

In the left sidebar, go to Settings > Processor Settings, then click Animal in the sub-menu.

Scroll past the Animal Species section and past the top of the Beef section until you see the question: "Would you like to auto schedule harvest and cut dates for Beef?"

Toggle this on to enable auto scheduling for Beef.

Setting Your Days

Once enabled, you'll see two fields:

  • How many days after drop-off should we auto schedule harvest date?

  • How many days after harvest date should we schedule cut date?

A common setup is 1 day after drop-off for harvest and 14 days after harvest for cut, but set whatever works best for your facility's workflow.

To adjust the number of days you can either click directly on the number and type in your value, or use the + and – buttons on either side of the field to increase or decrease the number one day at a time.

Don't Forget to Save

Click the green Save button in the bottom right corner when you're done.

Important: Auto scheduling must be enabled separately for each animal species. Turning it on for Beef does not automatically enable it for Hog, Lamb, Goat, or any other species you process. Repeat these steps under each species tab to apply auto scheduling across your full operation.
