There are three ways to add a new job in Farmshare. All three lead to the same scheduling flow, so once you're familiar with one, the others will feel natural.
Method 1: From the Calendar
After logging in, you'll be directed to your Dashboard. Click Calendar in the left sidebar to get started.
Select the Schedule New Job button in the upper right corner of the page.
In the scheduling wizard, enter the Number of Animals, select the Species, and choose an Inspection Level. The calendar below will update to show availability for that month.
Note: Farmshare does not support multi-species jobs. If you'd like to schedule multiple species from the same producer on the same day, you'll need to create a separate job for each.
Each date on the calendar shows the number of spots remaining, with color coding to help you read availability at a glance: green means plenty of capacity, yellow means limited capacity, red means over-capacity, and grey means the day is closed.
Once you've found your preferred drop-off date, select it and click Next to proceed.
Method 2: From a Specific Date on the Calendar
After logging in, click Calendar in the left sidebar. Navigate to the month you'd like to schedule within and hover over the desired date. Select View Day when it appears.
A Day Agenda panel will open on the right showing any existing bookings for that date. At the bottom of the panel, select Schedule New Job.
Enter the Number of Animals, Species, and Inspection Level, then click Next to proceed. The date will automatically be set to the day you selected.
Method 3: From a Producer's Profile
This method is useful when you're scheduling on behalf of a specific producer and want their contact information to pre-fill automatically.
After logging in, go to Customers > All Customers in the left sidebar.
Search for the producer you're booking for and select their name to open their profile.
Select the Schedule Job button in the upper right corner. From here, the scheduling flow is the same as Method 1 - choose a species, select a date, and proceed. The producer's contact information will be pre-filled automatically.
Completing the Job (All Methods)
Once you've selected a date and hit Next, the rest of the flow is the same regardless of which method you used.
Producer contact information - If this is the producer's first time booking with you, enter their first name, last name, phone number, and/or email address. You can also optionally add a farm or ranch name.
If they've booked with you before, search their name to autofill their details.
Animal Details - Each animal has optional fields (Producer Identifier, inspection level, sex, split, etc.) β if that information isn't available yet, no need to fill it in now.
Creating the job β Once all animals have been added, select Schedule Job. Your new job will be created and will appear on your calendar right away.
