Rescheduling & Canceling Jobs

How to move a job to a new date or cancel it entirely directly from the Farmshare calendar or job page.

Rescheduling a Job

There are two ways to reschedule a job depending on where you're working:

From the Calendar — In Month View, click and drag the job to the new date you'd like to move it to. Farmshare will prompt you with a quick confirmation — "Are you sure you want to update this booking?" — click Yes to complete the move. The job's drop-off date will update automatically and capacity on both the old and new dates will adjust accordingly.

From the Job Details page — Open the job and click Edit Dropoff Date on the Details tab. Update the date and save your changes.

Note: Rescheduling to a full day follows the same capacity override rules as scheduling — as the processor admin, you can always move a job to any date regardless of capacity. See the Overriding Your Scheduling Capacity article for more detail.

Canceling a Job

Open the job you'd like to cancel from your Dashboard, Calendar, or Jobs in the left sidebar. In the upper right corner, click the small dropdown arrow next to the Mark as Dropped Off button to reveal additional options. Select Cancel Job.

A confirmation pop-up will appear showing the booking details — producer name, email, item, and drop-off date — and will ask you to provide a reason for the cancellation. You must select a reason and fill in the Additional Details field before you can proceed. The reason options are:

  • Need to Modify Job — use this if you're canceling in order to recreate the job with different details

  • Requested by Customer — use this when the producer has asked to cancel

  • Other — for any other reason not covered above

Once both fields are filled in, click Cancel Order to finalize.

Tip: If you're canceling a job just to change something about it — like the species, head count, or producer — select Need to Modify Job as your reason. This keeps your cancellation records clean and makes it clear the slot will be rebooked.
