Overriding Scheduling Capacity

As the processor, you can always schedule beyond your set capacity — here's how it works and what to expect.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Your daily capacity limits are there to control how much producers can book on any given day. However, as the processor and admin of your facility, you are never locked out of a day — you can always add jobs beyond your set capacity when you know you can handle it.

How to Override Capacity

There are two ways to add a job to a day that's at or over capacity:

Schedule a new job directly — Use the normal scheduling flow (from the Calendar, a specific date, or a producer's profile) and select the date you want regardless of how full it is. The job will be added and the day's total will update accordingly.

Drag and drop an existing job — From the Calendar in Month View, click and drag any existing job to a new date. Farmshare will prompt you with a quick confirmation — "Are you sure you want to update this booking?" — click Yes to complete the

move.

Reading the Capacity Indicators

As days fill up, the calendar gives you a visual heads-up:

  • Yellow dot — the day is approaching capacity

  • Red dot — the day is at or over capacity

These indicators are informational only for you as the processor. They do not prevent you from adding jobs. For producers booking through their own portal, red days will appear unavailable and cannot be booked without your involvement.

Note: Only processor admins can override capacity. Producers are always limited to booking within your available capacity — they will never be able to overbook a day on their own.
