Your weekly capacity controls how many animals can be scheduled on any given day. Getting this set up correctly ensures your calendar reflects your actual processing availability.
To get started, go to Settings > Processor Settings > Scheduling & Capacity in the left sidebar.
Step 1: Choose Your Capacity Configuration Method
At the top of the page, you'll be asked how you'd like to set your capacity. There are three options:
By Species β Set separate capacity limits for each species you process. Best if you only work with one inspection type.
By Species and Inspection β Set capacity by both species and inspection level (e.g., USDA vs. State). Recommended if you process under multiple inspection types.
By Weighted Animal Unit β Set a single total capacity based on animal weight equivalencies rather than head count. Useful if you process a mix of species and want to think in terms of total processing load rather than individual animals.
If you select By Weighted Animal Unit, you'll first need to assign a weight value to each species you process. A common setup is Beef = 1 unit and Pork, Lamb, or Goat = 0.5 units (2 per unit), but you can adjust these to match your operation.
Step 2: Enable Your Processing Days
Each day of the week can be toggled on or off. Weekends are disabled by default. Toggle on each day you accept drop-offs.
Step 3: Set Your Daily Capacity Blocks
Once a day is enabled, you'll see a capacity block where you can enter how many animals you can process. Give the block a title (e.g., "Block 1") and set the capacity for each species
β or, if you're using Weighted Animal Units, enter your total unit capacity.
Need AM and PM drop-off windows? Click + Add Block to create a second block for that day and name it accordingly (e.g., "AM Drop Off" and "PM Drop Off"). Each block can have its own capacity.
Step 4: Copy to Other Days (Optional)
If your capacity is the same across multiple days, you don't need to enter it manually for each one. Click Copy to on any day, select the days you'd like to apply the same settings to, and click Apply.
Step 5: Save
When you're done, click the green Save button in the bottom right corner.
