How to Add Holidays and Custom Days to Your Schedule

Setting up holidays and custom days is easy! Here's how to get started.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Step 1: Navigate to Scheduling & Capacity In the left sidebar, click Settings, then Processor Settings. From there, select Scheduling & Capacity in the sub-menu.

Step 2: Find the Custom Days Section Scroll down until you see the Custom Days section. This is where you can manage holidays and any other special days on your schedule.

Step 3: Add Public Holidays Click the Add Public Holidays button to see a list of standard American holidays. Simply check the box next to each holiday you want to close your schedule for, then click the Add Holidays button at the bottom of the window to confirm your selections.

Step 4: Add a Custom Date If a holiday isn't on the list, or you want to block off a specific date, type that date into the date box and click the green + Add button.

Step 5: Customize Each Day

Once a day is added, scheduling will automatically be disabled for that date. You can add a note in the Calendar Note text box to let customers know why you're closed (for example, "Closed for Independence Day").

Step 6: Adjust Capacity Instead of Closing

If you don't want to fully close that day, but instead want to limit or change how many animals can be scheduled, simply uncheck the Disable Scheduling box. You'll then see fields where you can use the + and – buttons to set the exact number of each animal type you'd like to allow that day.

For example, you might enter "Half Capacity Day" as your calendar note and set 4 Beef and 2 Lamb β€” or you could set a higher capacity than usual if it's a busy period!

Step 7: Save Your Changes When you're done, click the green Save button in the bottom right corner to make sure all your changes are applied.
